"Mystery Shopping Investigation Agent," a Gyeonggi-do special envoy who cracks down on illegal sites under the guise of guests, has begun full-fledged activities this year.
"Mystery Shopping Investigator" selected a total of eight people in the first half of this year, including four investigators and four online monitoring agents, who are in charge of talking to phone numbers of illegal advertisements, visiting companies, collecting investigation-related data, and managing databases.
Gyeonggi Province's special envoy police hired "mystery shopping investigators" for the first time in local governments since 2019, resulting in the arrest of a total of 64 illegal lenders over two years, including 28 in 2019 and 36 in 2020.
Four online monitoring agents first introduced this year will monitor related sites to secure investigative evidence such as illegal private financing, real estate, multi-stage (coin sales, stock reading room) crimes, and proxy purchases of harmful drugs by teenagers.
From the 8th, 16 illegal advertisement collection workers, which have been important evidence in the mystery shopping investigation process, will also be deployed to the site. They travel to busy streets and youth concentration areas in the province to collect illegal advertisements such as illegal lending businesses and harmful media for youth to secure evidence necessary for the investigation. They collected 294,000 illegal advertisements over the past year alone.
