Establishment in areas where daily foreign workers are concentrated, and exemption from the obligation to conduct free checkups and notify illegal residents regardless of their qualification to stay;
Ansan City (Mayor Yoon Hwa-seop) announced on the 8th that it will operate a "temporary screening clinic" in the Wongok-dong Multicultural Village Special Zone as a preemptive measure due to a series of confirmed cases of Corona 19 centered on foreign workers in the Seoul metropolitan area.
This is a measure to increase the accessibility of the test by reflecting the fact that it avoids the Korona 19 test due to preemptive prevention of the spread of additional infections in the community, crackdowns on illegal aliens, and will be operated temporarily from the day to the 12th.
Considering the characteristics of vocational agencies and manpower dispatching companies, the temporary screening clinic will be operated freely from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. using early morning hours.
In addition, inspection is free of charge regardless of residence qualification to resolve the rejection of inspection due to the exposure of illegal aliens, inspection-related information is not used for non-disinfection purposes, and anyone who has suspicious symptoms without fear of crackdown or punishment will be exempted.
To this end, it will encourage voluntary inspections by intensively promoting free screening of illegal and daily workers and exemption from the obligation to notify illegal residents to foreign communities.
"As the number of confirmed cases of infection is increasing, we will prevent further infections and create a safe quarantine environment as a preemptive measure against asymptomatic infections," a city official said. "We hope businesses and citizens follow quarantine rules to prevent Covid-19.
