The quarantine authorities said, "The number of mass outbreaks has increased little by little due to consumption, meals, etc."

Continue to identify risk factors ahead of Easter…Additional dissemination from family, acquaintance, workplace, etc.

Kwon Joon-wook, the second vice head of the Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters, said on the 25th, "The recent epidemic through churches has decreased a lot and the quarantine system related to religious facilities is well-equipped, but group development is gradually increasing."

Kwon, vice head of the Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters, said, "The quarantine authorities believe that the third Korona19 epidemic is still underway, and they are actively responding to the spread of the mutated virus in Korea."

Deputy Director Kwon said, "After you do essential worship activities, please do not have private gatherings and meals, and if you feel a little strange, please visit nearby temporary screening laboratories for inspection."

Deputy Director Kwon introduced cases of church-related mass occurrence due to the risk factors that have been continuously confirmed ahead of Easter in early April, although church-related group occurrences have been decreasing in general.

According to this, the church-related mass generation was mainly spread through the consumption of church members before and after worship, and further spread in families, acquaintances, and workplaces.

In particular, even after the occurrence of suspicious symptoms, the main risk factors were participating in face-to-face worship, eating between church members before and after worship, insufficient ventilation in the facility, and insufficient distance in the chapel.

In response, the quarantine authorities asked church officials to immediately be examined and ban consumption of church members in case of suspicious symptoms, thorough monitoring of symptoms for visitors, refrain from church gatherings and events, manage face-to-face worship attendants, and follow streets.

Meanwhile, Kwon emphasized thorough compliance with the quarantine rules, referring to the recent cases of non-compliance with quarantine rules for kindergartens and daycare centers reported to the Safety Newspaper.

Cases reported so far include ▲ child care teacher's mask not worn ▲ appointment of more than 5 faculty members ▲ fever check not conducted ▲ instrument(Harmonica) class ▲ daycare center cook without mask ▲ guardian mask not worn when visiting institutions.

In particular, in the case of kindergartens and daycare centers, the risk of infection and spread is high as many co-use of enclosed spaces, close contact is inevitable in the process of childcare and education, and frequent contact with outsiders such as parents' visits.

Therefore, teachers and workers should wear masks at all times and refrain from frequent disinfection and smear-producing activities at least once a day for periodic indoor ventilation, joint use items and surfaces at least three times a day.

Vice head of the department Kwon asked, "Parents should refrain from attending kindergartens and daycare centers with many people and allow them to be examined immediately if they have any suspicious symptoms or are suspected at all."

"Please guide children to wear masks in the right form and take care of hand hygiene."
