Ansan City Creates Used Book Library with Citizens' Donation Books
Donate books from citizens by the 11th of next month...Wow, the used book library is operated on the second floor of the stadium.
Ansan City (mayor Yoon Hwa-seop) announced on the 31st that it will receive used books from citizens to create a used book library, which is scheduled to be operated from April on the second floor of the Wa-Stadium.
Citizens who want to donate old books can visit the audio-visual room on the first floor of the Central Library between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. from next month (closed Monday) by combining old books, magazines and books they no longer read.
The city plans to present a small library souvenir to citizens who donate more than five books.
The used book library will also house a variety of books, magazines, and cartoons containing citizens' memories, as well as used books, magazines, and cartoons donated by local bookstores and libraries, and will be created as a space for all citizens to use freely.
A city official said, "I hope it will be an open emotional space where parents and their children can communicate and sympathize with each other through a complex cultural space full of old books and toys for children."
