□ The Seoul Metropolitan Government (hereinafter referred to as the Seoul Metropolitan Government) decided to select "Seoul's future growth sector" such as the Small and Medium Venture Business Corporation, FinTech, AI (Artificial Intelligence), Bio and Medical.



□ The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology announced on March 31 (Wednesday) that they will support the scale-up of companies by signing an agreement to foster promising companies in Seoul's future growth industry.

  ○ The signing ceremony was held at 2 p.m. on March 31 (Wednesday) at the Seosomun 2 building of Seoul City Hall, and the signing ceremony was attended by Kim Eui-seung, head of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's economic policy office, and Vice Chairman of the Mediterranean.



□ The Seoul Future Growth Industry selected by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology is a total of four areas. Intelligent ICT (fintech, AI, etc.), digital cultural contents (webtoons, games, animations, web dramas, etc.), bio, medical, fashion, and smart fibers were selected as areas to actively drive innovation growth in connection with Seoul's strategic hubs such as Yeouido, Magok and Hongneung.

□ This agreement focuses on ▴ Supporting policy funds to foster Seoul's future growth industry 서울 Finding and recommending promising leading companies in Seoul's future growth industry 투자 Preparing support policies for growth of promising leading companies such as investment, exports, experts, and infrastructure. In particular, the government plans to raise 24 billion won in policy funds exclusively for promising companies in the future growth industry in Seoul to support unsecured and low-interest loans only for operating funds.

  ○ Loan interest rates are differentiated in consideration of each company's credit rating and collateral type at the base interest rate, and the support limit is up to KRW 6 billion per company.

   ○ (Growth Support) Support innovation growth by supporting customized links such as investment, export, infrastructure, etc.



     - Implement comprehensive support policies such as investment, exports and infrastructure to strengthen corporate competitiveness



     - Establish a cooperative network between institutions to support growth of promising leading companies



   ○ (Human Resources Support) Train professionals customized to solve the difficulties of job openings.



     - Training professionals and matching jobs through field-based technology training



     - Reinforcement of mutual cooperation to strengthen job competency and support customized technology for companies
