현대·기아자동차㈜에서 제작, 판매한 싼타페(CM) 등 3개 차종 294,622대는 일부 노후 차량의 ABS/ESC 모듈 전원부에 오일 또는 수분 등의 이물질이 유입되어 내부합선으로 인한 화재 발생 가능성이 있어 시정조치(리콜)에 들어간다.

ㅇ 해당차량은 5월 25일부터 현대자동차(주) 직영서비스센터 및 블루핸즈, 기아자동차(주) 서비스센터에서 각각 무상으로 수리(전원공급 제어 스위치 장착)를 받을 수 있다.

현대기아차의 스포츠유틸리티차량(SUV) 싼타페ㆍ쏘렌토와 카니발 30만 대 정도가 무더기 리콜에 들어갔습니다.

모두 2010년 전에 제작된 노후 차량으로, 제동장치의 내부 합선에 따른 화재 위험이 있어서 입니다.

싼타페, 쏘렌토, 카니발은 제동장치에 오일 같은 이물질이 유입되면서 내부 합선으로 인한 화재가 발생할 수 있었습니다.

Recall Hyundai-Kia Motors Santa Fe, Sorento and Carnival ABS/ESC Module Power Parts Recall 2005-2009

294,622 units of three models, including the Santa Fe (CM), manufactured and sold by Hyundai and Kia Motors, will be subject to corrective action (recall) due to the possibility of a fire caused by internal short circuits due to the inflow of foreign substances such as oil or moisture into the entire ABS/ESC module of some old vehicles.

 ᄋ The vehicle can be repaired free of charge from May 25 at Hyundai Motor's direct service center, Blue Hands and Kia Motors' service center.

About 300,000 units of Hyundai-Kia's sport utility vehicle Santa Fe, Sorento and Carnival have been recalled.

All of them are old vehicles manufactured before 2010, and there is a risk of fire due to the short circuit inside the brakes.

Santa Fe, Sorento, and Carnival could cause internal short circuit fires due to oil-like foreign substances entering the brakes.

Most of them were old cars manufactured between 2005 and 2009.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has ordered the installation of a power supply control switch for recall.
